The following is a brief description of subjects contained in all four levels of the plumbing program as well as the core curricula that all level one students are expected to pass. ”

This curriculum is for plumbing apprentices and assumes you are already employed by a plumbing firm!

Core Curriculum  : Year 1 (80 Hrs)
**The CORE CURRICULUM is an internet-based self-study course and is not taught in the classroom.

Plumbing Apprenticeship : Year 1  (160 Hrs)

  • Basic Communication
  • Introduction to Plumbing Drawings
  • Plastic Pipe and Fittings
  • Copper Pipe and Fittings
  • Cast-Iron Pipe and Fittings
  • Carbon Steel Pipe and Fittings
  • Introduction to Plumbing Fixtures
  • Introduction to Drain, Waste, and Vent (DWV) Systems
  • Introduction to Water Distributions Systems

 

Plumbing Apprenticeship : Year 2 (240 Hrs)

  • Structural Penetrations, Insulation, and Fire-Stopping
  • Installing and Testing DWV Piping
  • Installing Roof, Floor, and Area Drains
  • Types of Valves
  • Installing and Testing Water Supply Piping
  • Installing Fixtures, Valves, and Faucets
  • Basic Electricity
  • Installing Water Heaters
  • Fuel Gas Systems

 

Plumbing Apprenticeship : Year3 (240 Hrs)
